J.K. Farnell

EYES

Up to 1930 it was common for Farnell bears to have clear glass eyes with black pupils, although brown and black glass eyes were also in use during this period.

LABEL

Paper tags attached to the chest were used on Farnell toys untill 1925 when this embroidered label was introduced. The design remained the same from 1925 - c1945. Labels were sewn onto bears foot.

Printed label used from 1945 onwards.

NOSE

Up to the 1930's oblong nose with long end stitches was a feature of Farnell bears. White bears had brown nose stitching.

1930's noses were much squarer and no longer had the long end stitches.

After WW2 Farnell noses had a rounder, more bulbous shape.
